About

Prakruthi Charitable Foundation (PCF) is registered under Society Act in 2008.The foundation operates as a rehabilitation centre primarily serving patients with various mental illnesses.

​

It is engaged in working towards helping and rehabilitating the mentally ill patients and empowering women to be self-reliant.

​

The main aim of the foundation is to reduce the family burden of the key relatives and bring patients back into the normal stream of society.

​

Dr. Sringar and her husband, Dr. Araga, have given a part of their own house for rehabilitation. The institution provides medication, numerous types of counselling and organizes an array of activities for the betterment of mental patients.

The activities include gardening, tailoring, embroidery, spoken English, handicrafts, drawing & painting, music therapy, yoga & meditation, indoor games, and computer training. Medication and counselling which encompasses psycho-education, individual counselling, behaviour modification therapy, marital therapy is included as a part of the rehabilitation program. Presently even hydroponics and organic farming have also been introduced as it will be easy for them to grow them without much effort as this can also help them for their livelihood

Aim:

1. Day-care and half-way home facility for the mentally disturbed patients.

2. Provides treatment , counselling and Rehabilitation .

3.  Psycho-education for the relatives of the patients.

4. Conducts mental-awareness programmes in schools, colleges and multi-national companies.

5.  Has started organic farming and hydroponics to help patients survive.

6.  Conducts Music- therapy sessions.

7. Yoga and exercises.

8 .  Conducts classes and training programmes and offers internships for aspiring psychologists.
